When I first learned about my son’s autism diagnosis, I was devastated and overwhelmed. I felt lost, not knowing what to do or where to start. I was determined to learn everything I could to better understand my child and autism since he couldn’t tell me himself. I invested in countless courses, studied extensively, and attended every webinar I could find, both free and paid. I paid for consultants and had myself mentored. It took a lot of time, energy, and money, but it was all worth it when I began to see remarkable progress in my au-some Joaquin after applying the knowledge and techniques I had learned.
One day, my mentors told me, “Jane, if you know something, if you have knowledge to share that you know will benefit others, especially mothers who were once like you, not knowing what to do and feeling overwhelmed, then you have a moral obligation to share your knowledge with them.”
This advice inspired me to start hosting free webinars for mothers of ausome children. Every time I receive a “thank you” message from another AU-some parent, it warms my heart, knowing that at one point or another, I was able to touch a life.
